The first leg of this year’s Winter Friendly against Caerleon PC was held at Monkstone on Sunday 4 December 2022. Unfortunately Monkstone came away with a bit of a bloodied nose as we lost by 12 games to 10 and more importantly by 25-37 on points leaving us with a 12 point deficit to make up in the 2nd leg which will take place at Caerleon on 8 January 2023 – details of times etc will be published later.
For those not familiar with this fixture the match comprises 12 games of singles, 6 of doubles and 4 of triples so a squad of minimum 12 players is required.
We will need to put out a strong side to hopefully turn around the deficit from the 1st leg and retain the trophy we won last year so preference will be given to league players. All members, however, are invited to register an interest in playing as we may not reach the required minimum squad of 12 from the league players.

The closing date for registration is 31 December 2022 so that we can select a squad and advise those included that they are playing.
