The much delayed 2017 President’s Cup got underway on Mo
nday 2 April 2018. Despite the depressing weather forecast, the competition, in the format of a melee, was played for the most part in bright sunshine much to the relief of the 13 hardy souls who turned out to play.
The competition was fierce with various members looking likely to emerge as the winner as the play progressed. In the end there were 7 people who emerged with 2 wins out of 3 games but the clear winner was Phil Roberts who was the only one to win all 3 games.
Congratulations to Phil and thanks to Mike Jones for his excellent organisation of the competition.
